If you are planning to become pregnant but are concerned about having a healthy baby, talking with our genetic counselors can help. We can assess your genetic risks and help you determine what test and treatment options are best for you.
When counseling is appropriate
- You have a family history of a genetic condition.
- If you are considering carrier screening
- You are of Ashkenazi Jewish, Caucasian, African American, Mediterranean or French Canadian decent.
