Birt-Hogg-Dube Syndrome

Birt-Hogg-Dubé syndrome is a rare disorder that affects the skin and lungs and increases the risk of certain types of tumors.

Features of the condition

  • Multiple noncancerous skin tumors, typically on the face, neck, and upper chest
  • Lung cysts/pneumothorax (collapsed lung)
  • Kidney tumors
